I think it’s the whole thing where we’re so used to idols being born in ‘98 or earlier so seeing someone born in ‘02 makes them seem really young or whatever?? I think part of the problem is these “roles” that companies apply to idols, as well. Fuck, even sm infantalized dream. Companies need to do a better job of finding a middle ground between objectifying idols and making them seem like cutesy dolls (this applies to boy and girl groups of all ages!!). Then again, it’s hard to tell what the public wants or whatever… but still :/
I totally understand calling someone a ‘precious baby’ in an endearing way, like ‘ah yes I adore/appreciate/cherish this person very much!’ But like you said, I wouldn’t want someone treating me like I’m a child. Not that we should treat him like a full blown adult though, since he isn’t!! There just has to be an in between point of sorts… hkdhs I hope nobody misunderstands the way I’m speaking about this since I’m an adult, but yeah that’s my opinion shdjsb
